Permanent exhibition on Nikos Kazantzakis opens on Crete
The permanent exhition on Nikos Kazantzakis (1883-1957), perhaps the most important and most translated Greek writer of the 20th century, was inaugurated at the 'Nikos Kazantzakis Museum' in Myrtia village in the prefecture of Iraklion, on the island of Crete, on Saturday night. Present at the inauguration were National Defense Minister Evangelos Venizelos, Deputy Economy Minister Satvros Arnaoutakis, independent deputy and former foreign minister Dora Bakoyannis, deputies and intellectuals. The 'Nikos Kazantzakis Museum' opened 27 years ago.
